This Japanese Home Features a Transparent Garage in the Center

Japanese architect Yoshiaki Yamashita has designed a unique home for a pair of car enthusiasts, located in the city of Kyoto. In focusing on the couple’s affinity for automobiles, Yamashita placed a garage in the middle of the residence. The garage is surrounded by glass walls as to display the vehicles inside.
The single-story house then features a kitchen and dining area that neighbors the living room, while the master bedroom is located on the other side of the home. That particular room in turn links to a private backyard.
The residence only spans 173 square meters, but due to an abundance of natural light entering the house, it feels much larger and more spacious.
